Strange though it may seem to anyone who has watched him play, wide receiver Terrell Owens (TO) is still available with only a few weeks to go until the 2010 season starts. Although TO has not always been seen as a team player, a closer look at his record does show times when he has stood by team mates, and although he is in the team to produce yardage and TD’s, he does put in a lot of unnoticed work, throwing blocks and is does a lot of fruitless running when double teamed so giving someone else the chance for a catch.
His 2009 numbers were not too good, but that is more down to him playing in a poor Buffalo Bills team, and even with poor service and no offensive line to speak of he managed 55 catches for 829 yards and five touchdowns. A 15.1 yard per reception average is still pretty good and he was clearly the Bills top offensive player despite not really fitting in.
Also it is important to note that Terrell Owens has never had any off field disciplinary issues, unlike some of the star names who have brought disgrace on the game in recent years. Overall TO deserves better and i am sure he will get the chance to grace the field again in 2010 hopefully in Green Bay.
