Again money talks in the NFL as the Philadelphia Eagles part company with Running Back Brian Westbrook who at his best was one of the most versatile and exciting players ever to carry a football. Although he never managed to replicate his outstanding form of 2007 his stats were still consistent and had injuries not restricted his 2009 appearances he would have added considerably to his already impressive stats.
Still the prospect of paying hi $7.25m in 2010 has been viewed as too much of a risk and now the 30 year old will be looking for a new team.
I suppose with LeSean McCoy and Eldra Buckley the Eagles coaching staff think they have the position covered, however I am sure the fans will be sad to see such a iconic player pull on another jersey next season.
