The new season started with a bang on Thursday night when tow of the NFC’s best teams met, and the rest of the week one schedule looks equally interesting, with the big Sunday Night game being, the Ravens at home to the Steelers in a big AFC North Clash – one which could go a long way towards deciding who is divisional champion and its only week One!!
Other games of note are the big AFC South Clash between the Colts and the Texans, another game which could give us some indication as to whether there will be a change on the balance of power there; if manning is out the Colts might struggle here.
Detroit at Tampa will be an interesting clash with bot teams definitely on the up, the Buccs were the surprise team of 2010 – will the lions be that team in 2011? – possibly but we can see them beating Tampa in their own back yard.
The NY teams both have potentially tricky fixtures, and although the Jets should take care of Dallas we are not too sure about the Giants, with all their injuries. The Skins look a better team than their 2010 6-10 record would have you believe and we are tentatively picking them for an upset.
There are two Monday night games this season and the Patriots should get off to a winning start in one of them while the late game Oakland v Denver could go any way – we are tentatively picking the Broncos.
Our Opening game pick was Green Bay by 7 points so we are currently standing at 1005 – which unfortunately wont last past Sunday night.
