Troubled Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has been accused of common assault stemming from road rage. The allegation is that he tail gated a 38 year old man in his pickup truck and in the ensuing altercation threw a punch at him (we must assume it missed as the man is not in hospital). Haynesworth has proclaimed his innocence via a statement by his agent and it will be for the courts to decide.
A trial is scheduled for 31st March 2011, and if Albert Haynesworth is found guilty he could face a jail term and or a fine.
