2011 NFL Week Nine Results Green Bay March On

Green Bay remained the only unbeaten team at 8-0 thanks to a very impressive win at the San Diego Chargers, who are a whole lot better than their 4-4 record would have you believe. Their nearest challengers in the NFC north Detroit and Chicago both won too reinforcing the fact that the NFC North looks the best division in the NFL this season.

The seasons surprise team (for us anyway) San Fransisco won at Washington and have practically sewn the NFC West title up meaning that the 5 times Superbowl champions will probably feature in the post season for the first time since 2002.

In the AFC Baltimore had a monster win at Pittsburgh and are currently in the No 1 seed position. The NY Jets moved right back into the reckoning too with a good win over divisional rivals Buffalo. They got a bit of help from their neighbours the Giants though who pulled off a very impressive late win at New England. Houston & Cincinnati also had good wins to keep them well in contention for the post season.

Not such good news for Indy though as they slumped to 0-9 and their run of nine consecutive seasons in the playoffs is now over. Still maybe its a good thing as they need a future replacement for Peyton Manning and Stanford’s Andrew Luck will be waiting there for them at No one in the 2012 draft.

We finished 8-6 with our predictions.
