Former Patriot and Super Bowl MVP wide receiver Dieon Branch, left the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night to return to New England who needed to strengthen their young receiving corp after sending Randy Moss back to the Vikings. The Seahawks will receive a 4th round draft pick for Branch, but given the inexperience in the New England offensive ranks this looks like a good deal.
Branch played in New England from 2002-2005 before being traded for a 1st round pick in 2006. However things have not worked out for him in Seattle and providing he stays healthy he should find himself Tom Brady’s go to man for much of this season.
