Allen Park, Mich. — The Detroit Lions have announced the date for its annual spring fundraiser for Detroit Lions Charities (DLC), the Lions’ philanthropic foundation. The 21st annual Detroit Lions (golf) Invitational will be held on Tuesday, June 7, at TPC Michigan in Dearborn.
The long-standing golf outing is one of the Lions’ major fundraisers that have helped DLC donate nearly $ 6 million to charity since 1991. Lions’ Head Coach Jim Schwartz will be the chairman for the event and will be joined by current and former Lions’ players, coaches and staff.
The Detroit Lions Invitational combines 18 holes of golf on one of Michigan’s outstanding courses with great food and the opportunity to bid on unique items through a silent auction. The outing concludes with an awards dinner featuring Coach Schwartz as guest speaker.
