NFL 2011 Week 17 Still Plenty To Play For

Seventeen weeks have flown by, the lockout seems like a distant memory and the NFL have by a combination of good luck and good guidance have a meaningful schedule to round off the regular season.

Three divisions are still up for grabs with a winner takes all the marbles tie between the Cowboys and the Giants in the NFC East, while the Steelers and Ravens and the Raiders and Broncos can all win their divisions in the AFC.

The Wild Card picture is also still opaque in the AFC as although the Bengals currently have the No 6 spot, they will have to beat a Ravens side who are going for the division and a 1st round bye. A loss would potentially let the Jets sneak in again and the Titans are also there as they can still qualify with a win over Houston. In the NFC the Wild Cards are sewn up with detroit and Atlanta taking the places.

The wooden spoon is also still open as the current Favourites the Colts or Rams could still finish with 3 wins which would possibly give the Vikings the 1st Pick. The Colts would be the natural home for Andrew Luck with the other two having QB’s of potential in place.
