This was a game that the NFL Champions the Green Bay Packers were expected to win easily being rated as 14 points favourites before the game and although the final score would suggested an easy victory it didn’t tell the whole story.
In a hard fought game AFL champions the Kansas City Chiefs eventually succumbed to Green Bay’s second half onslaught but they did give the Packers a bit of a fright with a determined 1st half performance, which led many commentators to ponder the possibility of a shock result in this the inaugural Super Bowl.
However in the second half Green Bay led by veteran Quarter Back and first Super Bowl MVP Bart Starr finally stamped their authority on the game winning by a comfortable margin which probably flattered them a little.
