Singletary's Vote Of Confidence Not Enough To Save Jimmy Raye in San Francisco

It didn’t take long for the San Fransisco 49ers hierarchy to act after they fell to 0-3 with a dismal performance against Kansas City. The decision to sack second year offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye so soon after the game, and only a day after coach Mike Singletary had effectively given him a vote of confidence must make the whole franchise feel a little uneasy at the moment.

Quarterback coach Mike Johnson has been promoted to offensive coordinator so becoming the 8th person in eight seasons to hold the role – so much for continuity!
