Three of this weeks games are being played on Thanks Giving, however the schedule has still saved a few interesting ones for our Sunday / Monday entertainment.
The Jets desperately need to arrest their recent slide and they have a tough divisional encounter with the Bills in a game which will effectively end the season for the loser given the race for a wild card looks incredibly competitive this season in the AFC. Both have slumped to 5-5 after good starts and given the Patriots look likely to take the East they are both mired up with a host of teams looking for the last postseason spot (we are pretty confident one of the wild cards will go to either Pittsburgh or Baltimore).
Carolina’s trip to Indy is also important but for completely different reasons as the Colts look to pick up their first win of the season, while the Panthers look to consolidate on what has been a much improved season under Cam Newton. Both look likely to have high draft picks this season but the Colts will not want to drop to 0-11 given they dont have many other winnable games left. Would guaranteeing Andrew Lucks services be worth the embarrassment of another Loss?
Other important games inclide New Englands Trip to the Eagles- who entered the season with such high hopes after Andy Reids spending spree. A loss here will almost end their season. The Bears have a tough trip to Oakland and will be without Jay Cutler who has continued his good form of last season. We remember seeing Caleb Hanie in the post season last year and he looked pretty good. So we dont think the loss of Cutler will totally derail the Bears season however they could struggle in this one.
The Monday Night game seen the Giants on the road against the Saints in a game which has real meaning for both sides. The Giants have been wobbling a bit of late and they may find this one a bit beyond them.
