LSU v Alabama Rematch Looks On The Cards

LSU all but ensured that Alabama would get a rematch with them after they beat the only remaining serious BSC Championship contender Arkansas 41-17 in a game which was much closer than the score would suggest.

The Razorbacks actually went 14-0 up when they returned a fumble for a TD, however the game largely turned on a big play in the second when Tyrann Mathieu ran 92 yards for a TD following a punt. This tied the scores up and LSU then took the momentum back and went in 21-14 up at the half.

Arkansas briefly got to within 4 points in the Third Quarter but LSU added two 4th quarter TDs to cement an impressive win and their position as No 1 in the Rankings.

Alabama had a easy win against last years BSC Champions Auburn and given their only loss this season was a narrow one against LSU, its hard to see them not getting the 2nd place vote. They have also beaten Arkansas and few apart from the SEC haters would argue their credentials as No2. Their top RB Trent Richardson looks well in the running (excuse the pun) for  the Heisman Trophy thanks to his impressive stats which included 203 yards rushing against the Razorbacks.

Our only hope is that the National Championship game is more entertaining for the Neutral than their regular season meeting.
