Albert Haynesworth Turns Up For Work – Finally!

After several months of petulant behaviour it finally looks like the Washington Redskins might get some work out of their $100m supposed star Albert Haynesworth. Obviously he has not endeared himself to new coach Mike Shanahan and he can expect a tough few days while he proved both his fitness and commitment.

Haynesworth looked likely to leave earlier this year, but having just collected a $21m bonus he will now have to resign himself to the fact that he is paid to do a job, and if that means having to play nose tackle on occasion for the good of the team so be it.

There is no doubt that his is a great talent or that his best position is probably defensive end, so if the Skins can keep ex Baltimore & Carolina DT Maake Kemoeatu fit then he might play in his favoured position more than he thinks.

If Haynesworth begins to play like we all know he can then the new look Washington Redskins could make a bit of an impression in the NFC East ensuring it remains the toughest division in the NFL.
