The odds of Brett Favre pulling on the Purple again in 2010 looks to have shortened as he has announced he will undergo surgery on his left ankle. This will come a welcome news to everybody in the Minnesota camp with the exception of back up QB Travaris Jackson who will have to spend another season in the shadows.
With Green Bay looking strong and both the Bears and Lions likely to improve slightly the return of Brett will be instrumental in the Vikings attempt to win the NFC North and hopefully go one better in 2010 after their somewhat unlucky loss in the 2009 NFC Championship game. With the foundations of last seasons team still intack there is no reason to think that they wont be serious challengers again in 2010 and i will give Brett a chance to pad his numbers even more before his inevitable entry into Football’s hall of fame in a few years time.
