Colts Defensive End Dwight Freeney has continued to miss practice this week and there must be serious doubts about him being fit for Super Bowl 44 despite the optimistic noises coming from the Indianapolis camp. Officially listed as having a sprained ankle there are rumors that he has in fact torn a ligament in his right ankle and that will make it almost impossible for him to line up against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night.
Freeney will be a massive miss for the Colts who only really have Ervin Baldwin as a replacement a player who has only had limited NFL experience.
Whether this loss will be enough to give The Saints an edge is debatable though and I am sure Jim Caldwell will have a game plan in mind should he need to shuffle the pack a bit.
