The Big 12 NCAA College Football conference could be about to be dealt a potentially fatal blow as Texas A&M have indicated they may leave to join the South Eastern Conference. With Nebraska (now Big Ten) and Colorado (now Pac-12) already having left the conference really needs another big name college to join, and so afr the only interest seems to be from SMU.
The main worry for the Big 12, will be the recently agreed 13-year television deal with Fox Sports reputed to be worth over $1 billion. Without the Aggies there is the danger that the contract could be voided unless they move quickly to boost the conferences numbers.
