Blow for The Bengals as Cedric Bension Faces Jail Time

The Cincinnati Bengals are set to be without star running back Cedric Bension after he was sentenced to 20 days in jail when he pleaded guilty to two minor assault cases.

His time inside is set to commence on Oct. 17, which is the Monday of Cincinnati’s bye week, however he is likely to mis at least one game even nwith time off for good behavior.

Cedric Benson was arrested in 2010 for allegedly punching a bar employee in Austin and he was arrested again last month for allegedly punching a former roommate again in downtown Austin. He has had precvious alcohol-related arrests when he was with the Chicago Bears, which probably contributed to their decision to let the 2005 1st round draft pick go in 2008.

Hopefully this will be the last time Mr Benson makes the headlines for the wrong reason – maybe avoiding Alcohol & Austin Texas would be a good place to start.
