LSU make a Big statement with Win Over Oregon

LSU coach Les Miles must be delighted with his teams opening performance against the Ducks, which saw them overcome the loss of key players either to injury or suspension. OK the Ducks were without Cliff Harris but this is still a statement win against last seasons BSC runners up.

LSU who finished up 40-27 winners ran the ball well and won the turnover battle decicevely 4-1. Their lack of passing yards is a minor worry especially given that Cliff Harris was out, but if they can get a bit more balance they could be in for a great season.

As for Oregon – well its far to early to judge, however they are unlikely to make as many mistakes in their next match and it will be a bit of a surprise if theuy are not 8-1 when they take on Stanford on 12th November.

The Tigers have a tough schedule this year and despite this great win we still expect Oregon to be the more likely to reach the BSC where Oklahoma could be waiting.
