Kansas City’s star quarter back Matt Cassel underwent surgery for an appendectomy this week and although there is no official status on his availability it will be a major surprise if he is fit for Sunday Nights big showdown with the San Diego Chargers; a game which could effectively sew up the AFC West.
If as is likely he misses the game this would allow Brodie Croyle a rare chance to improve on his 0-9 record as a started. Given the Chargers will be well up for this one this is probably not his best chance of breaking his duck though.
Ex Patriot Matt Cassel took the AFC offensive player of the month award in November after gaining 1,111 yards and scoring 12 touch downs.
