Thanksgiving already and we have been blessed with three great games all of which will have a bearing on the post season aspirations. The games are:
New England Patriots at Detroit Lions – The preseason whispers regarding the impending demise of the Patriots now looks well wide of the mark and a win here will put them in pole position for a wild card at least going into the final stretch. It has been a short week for them and they had a hard game against the Colts on Sunday, However given the Lions are still struggling with injuries it is hard to see an upset. We will take the Patriots to win this one by 10 points +
New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys – When the schedules were announced many my self included expected this to be a game with major connotations for both sides. However Dallas have had a pretty dismal season and although technically they could still figure in the Wild Card race nothing short of winning out will be good enough. The Saints are in a battle with Atlanta and the seasons surprise package the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the NFC South. The Saints will be well up for this as they need a win to stay in the race. A hard one to call given Dallas are improving under Jason Garrett. Overall we will go with the Saints in a close game. We expect the winning margin to be 3-7 points.
Cincinnati Bengals at NY Jets – The Jets are strong favourites for this one and given the Bengals are failing to fire this year its probably justified. We cant argue with the odds makers here and expect the Jets to cover the 9 point spread with some ease. Its the Jets for us by 14 points.
Anyway whoever you support good luck and have a great Thanksgiving.
