Six Time Pro Bowl WR Randy Moss Calls It A Day

In what is a slightly sad day for Football talented if controversial WR Randy Moss has decided to retire after 13 seasons in the NFL.
At 34 it could be argued that his best days were behind him, however in the right team he could have padded his already impressive stats and despite his antics last season we will be sorry to see him hang up his boots.

Assuming this is the end for Moss he will finish with 153 career touchdowns tied for second overall with Terrell Owens. He also has 14,858 yards receiving and 954 receptions and six Pro Bowl seasons, stats which despite his off field indiscretions should make him a strong Hall of Fame contender.

His crowning glory was with the New England Patriots in 2007, where he had a single-season record 23 TD passes from Tom Brady as the Patriots went 16-0 before narrowly losing to the NY Giants in the Super Bowl.

He never quite recaptured that form and his 2010 season was something of a damp squib following a disastrous move back to the Vikings (where he started his career). Reverting to type his was shown the door after 4 weeks and finished the season at Tennessee where he caught just six passes in eight games.
All we can say (assuming he doesn’t do a Brett Favre) is so long Randy and thanks for the Memories both good and bad.

If this is really the end of Randy Moss’ (1 of the most talented athletes ever) career, it’s a shame. Not that I’m buying this retirement…
