Vikings Go Vintage Again Trading For Donovan McNabb

Having parted company with one of the NFL’ s all time great QB’s Brett Favre The Minnesota Vikings have once again opted for experience picking up Donovan McNabb for a bargain price of 2 sixth round draft picks.

Having pushed the boat out in the draft to grab Christian Ponder many though that they would throw him in in 2011, however this move is probably going to benefit him in the long run as the NFC North looks like being a battle field again in 2011.

This looks a great move for the Vikings, and more questionable decision making by the floundering Redskins who have also traded Albert Haynesworth at a huge loss. Donovan McNabb is still capable of making things happen for a couple more seasons and with the talent around him he could do surprisingly well in 2011. We will be pleased to see him playing in a team where he is wanted and wont rule out a first season Brett Favre style effect.
