Just when it looked like Washington were finally turning the corner and threatening to be a force in the NFC East again the shenanigans start again. After Sundays disastrous coaching decision to pull Donovan McNabb with 2 minutes left, which ultimately led to Detroit winning the game thanks to a Grossman turnover, now they are insulting McNabb further by trying out Russell who is currently vying with Ryan Leaf for the dubious award of worst QB ever.
This looks like a classic case of blame shifting and much as we respect the record of Coach Mike Shanahan we are slightly perplexed both by his decision making and his lack of a coherent response to the medias questions. Hopefully they will find the time to sit down and sort things out as their promising start is in danger of being undone.
