There were points aplenty in the 2011 Pro Bowl as the NFC eventually ran out winners by a score of 55-41. The NFC had 5 interceptions with Philip Rivers and Matt Cassell both throwing two each and in total there were 13 touchdowns to enjoy.
In a strange first half the NFC ran up the score leading 42-0 at one stage before Jamaal Charles finally got the AFC on the board with an eight yard run. The AFC made the game slightly more respectable in the second half thanks to a fumble return for a TD and two TD passes each from Rivers & Cassell; Cassell’s two both coming in the final 2 minutes. The games only field goal was scored by the NFC when David Akers kicked from 46 yards.
55 points is the highest score any side has achieved to date and the 96 total points ranks as the second highest total in a Pro Bowl Game.
