Picks 11-15 in this years draft may again involve a trade or two given the effect of the salary implications of a player drafted outside of the top 10 thanks to the recent Collective bargaining agreement. However assuming no trades this is our current predictions
Pick 11 Tennessee Titans – DT Aaron Donald
Although a DT is not the Titans main concern the seeing a versatile and quick player like Donald still on the board at 11 should be enough to see them take him. He does not have amazing size however his strength and determination are what has made him so successful, and he is quick enough to play DE too. At a push he could even be used as an ILB and players with so many options are too good to miss when they drop out of the top 10. They could also go QB if one of the top prospects has taken a slide as Jake Locker has not fulfilled his college potential, or they may decide to go ILB or Corner and then Anthony Barr or Justine Gilbert would be possible choices. They need a Running Back but they will probably address that in rounds 2 or 3
Pick 12 NY Giants OG Zack Martin.
The Giants had an awful start to 2013 but finished strongly, and they will look to carry this through in 2014. One of the problems (in our opinion) was that QB Eli didn’t get the protection he needed and thus we see the Giants addressing this with Martin. They may also consider Taylor Lewen if he is still on the board.
Pick 13 St Louis Rams Safety Calvin Pryor.
The Rams have the luxury of two picks in the top 13 this year and assuming they chose to fill their main need on the OL with their 1st pick then it makes sense to shore up their next weakest position, Safety. There are a number of decent players to pick from in this position in 2014, however assuming they don’t choose to trade down (a strong possibility with one of their picks) then either Hasean Clinton-Dix or Calvin Pryor would make sense. We have predicted that Clinton-Dix will be gone so Pryor it is. They do need extra WR cover however with plenty of talent likely to slide into round two they can address this need there.
Pick 14 Chicago Bears OLB Anthony Barr
The Bears desperately need to improve their LB depth and if Barr is still on the board at 15 (as we predict) they will take him. If he is gone then Ryan Shazier or C.J. Mosley would be of interest.
Pick 15 Pittsburgh Steelers CB Justin Gilbert
The Steelers desperately need a corner the 2014 draft looks like being kind to them. With so much talent around they look likely to pick up a top prospect even at 15. Either Justin Gilbert or Darqueze Dennard would fit nicely and they will pick in that order assuming they are both on the board still. In the unlikely event that both have gone look for them to try and trade down in the hope of grabbing Kyle Fuller, Jason Verrett or Brad Roby towards the end of round one.
