The Philadelphia Eagles have given their expected starting Quarter Back Kevin Kolb a big vote of confidence by extending his contract going into the 2010 season. Having traded Donovan McNabb, Kolb is now almost certainly No1 on the roster and will have some pretty big shoes to fill so this move is well timed.
Kolb did play OK in his starts in 2009 racking up plenty of passing yardage, however the games were against the New Orleans saints, who despite winning the Super Bowl were prone to giving up plenty of yardage and the Kansas City Chiefs, who finished bottom of a pretty weak AFC West. He has good potential, however he can expect a baptism of fire in the tough NFC East, especially as he will probably face his old mentor McNabb twice.
